Our critical aspect of business function involves coordination and management of activities involved throughout our process from production to delivery of products. We are integrating our sustainable practices in our operations of procurement through assessment of our critical supplier on ESG aspects. In resonance with human rights, we encourage our suppliers to follow highest standard of ESG across their business operations.
We procure goods (raw materials, intermediate reagents, certain APIs, packaging materials) and avail services like distribution and transportation from local and small vendors, particularly those located around its manufacturing locations. We have actively promoted direct sourcing and procurement activities from within the district and neighboring districts.
We assess our suppliers on various grounds including environmental and social criteria to rate and evaluate suppliers’ operations. We make sure through our assessments that our suppliers are not engaging any child labour and forced/compulsory labour, and all their rights are ethically upheld and dignified throughout operations, with required social welfare practices. We try to influence our value chain partners to ensure anti-corruption and anti-competitive practices during their transactions. We have summarized our intentions in form of a “Sustainable Procurement Policy”.
