(Sustainable Agriculture & Cattle Breed Development)

i) Sustainable Agriculture

Farmers around our plant operations were growing traditional crops since ages and were facing issues such as lack of knowledge regarding latest techniques, weather changes, water scarcity etc. which resulted in lesser production and income. To tackle such issues ACSRF initiated the Farmers Empowerment project that builds the capacity of farmers to deal with weather changes, water management, equips them with latest technologies, Introduction to new crops through crop diversification and labour saving tools. Exposure visits are conducted to give them practical knowledge and quality seeds are provided. All these practices have resulted in increased income and production of farmers.

ii) Animal Husbandry & Cattle Breed Development

The upkeep of cattle and healthy practices plays an important role in increased milk production. To support our farmers to increase their cattleā€™s milk production and their income animal health camps, infertility camps, vaccination of animals, regular deworming and liver tonics are provided. The farmers are also trained on healthy practices, provided with nutrition (mineral mix) for their cattle. Fodder demonstartion plots are also prepared to make fodder available to their cattle.
